Coast Guard Aids Fishing Vessel
GALVESTON — Coast Guard crews responded to a report of a fishing vessel taking on water near Galveston early Tuesday morning.
The captain of the Lucky Lady asked for medical help after nearly severing a finger. The captain also reported that the vessel was taking on water.
Crews of a helicopter and of a 47-foot boat delivered pumps and an paramedic assisted the captain.
The Lucky Lady made it back to the Galveston Yacht Basin under its own power.
