Fire Forces Evacuation At Ball High School
GALVESTON — A fire in a Ball High School bathroom forced students to evacuate the school for an hour Friday morning, district officials said.
The fire, which broke out at 11 a.m., caused smoke damage to the Galveston school’s ROTC wing on the east side of the school’s first floor, district spokesman Johnston Farrow said.
All students were evacuated from the school as Galveston firefighters extinguished the blaze. The cause of the fire was not yet known, Farrow said.
