Tip, Donation Jar Thefts Reported
GALVESTON — A tip and a donation jar were taken from a coffee shop and convenience store, and police are looking into whether the thefts could be related.
A couple, described as white and between 20 and 25 years old, walked into Lasso a Latte, 500 Seawall Blvd., about 6:20 p.m. Monday.
The woman asked for help and the man left with the tip jar, police said.
The same couple earlier may have taken a Children’s Miracle Network donation can from the Valero store, 628 Broadway, police said.
