Shooting Leaves Man Injured
FRIENDSWOOD — Police are investigating a man’s shooting in a residential area Saturday.
Friendswood police responded about 6 p.m. to a report of shots fired in the 1800 block of Vaquero, Police Chief Bob Wieners said.
Officers found a man in a driveway with a gunshot wound to his right arm, according to a department news release. EMS took the man to Windsong Intermediate School, where he was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, according to the release.
Police arrested Michael Bell, 34, of Friendswood, on charges of resisting arrest and interfering with duties of a public servant in relation to the incident, according to the release. Bell was taken to Friendswood City Jail on a $2,500 bond, Wieners said.

Man Shot During Reported Bar Fight
GALVESTON — A man was in critical condition Saturday after he was shot at a bar, officials said.
Police responded at 1:20 a.m. to a shooting report at the Last Call Bar, 4102 Broadway, and found the victim with a bullet wound in his back, according to a Galveston Police Department news release.
The victim was taken to University of Texas Medical Branch John Sealy Hospital, Capt. Jeff Heyse said.
Witnesses told police the victim and another man were arguing inside the bar minutes before the shooting, according to the release.
